Design has always been at the heart of Marina’s life. She spent years as a creative director, leading branding and design work for major companies in Atlanta, then went on to help design homes and manage a growing family construction and rental business—shaping spaces where life happens. Creating with intention has always been the common thread.

When life slowed down, she returned to what she loved most: painting, designing, and creating simply for the joy of it. What began in her studio as a personal creative practice soon grew into something more—thoughtfully designed, artfully composed gift boxes and personalized keepsakes created to celebrate weddings, bridesmaids, birthdays, and life’s most meaningful occasions.

Today, every NIMA gift begins at the design table. Marina creates each packaging concept, paper detail, and visual element by hand, composing every box with care. Her alcohol ink paintings remain a personal form of expression—art made from the heart—while design is how she connects with others, designing gifts meant to be shared, celebrated, and remembered.

Together with Nicole, whose partnership and thoughtful touch help bring each piece to life, the two create every collection side by side. The name NIMA comes from their names— NIcole and MArina — a reflection of the collaboration and friendship at the center of it all.
